Make sure your credit is on the right track:
1. Give BALANCE a call at 888-456-2227 or go on-line at www.balancepro.net to request a copy of your report.

2. Check for errors. Make sure your name, address and credit history are correct. If the information is not correct, write to the credit bureau. Include your name, address, phone number and Social Security number along with detailed information as to why the information is incorrect.

3. Check for out of date information. Generally, past credit mishaps will be removed from your report after seven years. Bankruptcies can stay on a credit report for as long as ten years.

4. Check for omissions. If you are trying to clean up your credit, omissions of timely payments can prolong the building of a positive credit report.
