SELCO Community Credit Union did it again. The Credit Union is yet again the envy of Oregon businesses. This year, for the fifth consecutive year, the credit union has been voted one of the "100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon" by Oregon Business magazine.

SELCO ranked as the sixth best company to work for in Eugene!

Each year, discriminating judges from Oregon Business sift through thousands of applications from exceptional companies throughout Oregon, ultimately bringing the cream of the crop to the top 100 listing.

The magazine ranks entrants according to organizational communication, working environment, decision making and supervision, performance management, rewards and recognition, employee benefits, career development and learning, and leadership. SELCO scored high in all categories.

Ava Milosevich, SELCO's CEO/President, says she keeps a close eye on SELCO culture, something she believes sets the credit union apart from other financial institutions. "It's the people. It really is our whole team," Milosevich said. "They're the ones who make the culture. . . it takes everyone doing it. I think our whole team is our competitive advantage." Milosevich said she strives to re-invent the way we think about "supervisors." She sees them as coaches and mentors, she said, not just delegators.
