Health Insurance

Life Insurance
Individual-term or whole-life insurance may also be purchased by calling 744-7550, or request a no-cost rate quote online. Mortgage Insurance is also available at competitive rates.
Credit Union Group Insurance Products
AD&D: The company offering this product is Benefit Consultants, Inc. All SELCO members over the age of 18 are eligible to receive $1,500 of no-cost Accidental Death and Disability Insurance. This is not automatic; the member must fill out an application, sign it and list a beneficiary. In addition to the no-cost coverage, members may purchase additional amounts of individual or family coverage. The premiums for this coverage are deducted quarterly from the member's 01 account unless otherwise requested. These premiums are usually deducted sometime in the first five days of the quarter. Credit Life & Disability
This insurance is available on equity line of credit, Visa, and vehicle loans. The premium, based on the loan's balance, is deducted monthly and paid as part of the loan payment. The member may add the insurance at any time, but there is a six-month waiting period for disability claims and preexisting conditions. To add insurance to an existing loan contact your loan officer. Mechanical Breakdown Insurance
This is extended warranty coverage available to purchasers of new or used vehicles. Members may sign up for this insurance through the phone branch (686-8000), or through any SELCO Financial Service Associate. GAP (Guaranteed Auto Protection)
This coverage will guarantee full insurance coverage on any eligible vehicle no matter who's fault the accident is. Request a no-cost rate quote online.
What is GAP Insurance?
GAP insurance pays the difference between what you owe on your vehicle and what your insurance covers when your vehicle is damaged beyond repair (totaled) or stolen and not recovered. |
How Does GAP Work?
Your vehicle is "totaled' because of an accident or theft (stolen). Your auto policy covers the actual cash value of your vehicle, but YOU must make up the difference. GAP Insurance pays for the initial price of the vehicle before depreciation. |
