Elevate Courtesy Pay

Elevate Courtesy Pay is an optional benefit to help you avoid NSF fees charged by others (SELCO won’t charge NSF fees with Elevate). It acts as a safety net to cover certain transactions when there’s not a sufficient available balance in your Elevate or linked savings account.

How does Elevate Courtesy Pay work?

  • Transactions Covered: Whenever your available balance is short, we’ll automatically tap your Elevate Courtesy Pay allowance (up to the $100 limit) to cover any checks, recurring debit card charges, and scheduled ACH payments. It won’t cover ATM withdrawals or one-time debit card transactions; they will continue to be declined whenever your available balance isn’t sufficient.
  • Restoring the Allowance: When deposits arrive in your account, we’ll automatically use them to pay back charges previously covered by Elevate Courtesy Pay. That will restore your $100 allowance for further use. If your full $100 allowance has been used, any new charges will be declined for NSF until past Elevate Courtesy Pay charges are recouped through deposits.
  • Cost: There is a $10 monthly fee for Elevate Courtesy Pay. We will deduct the fee from your Elevate account each month for as long as you’re enrolled, even if you don’t access the allowance. You can discontinue coverage at any time.
  • Impact on Graduation: Any time you access the $100 allowance, it will count as an NSF incident and may delay your graduation. To graduate, you must achieve six consecutive months of positive account balances without using the Elevate Courtesy Pay safety net.
  • Enroll or Discontinue: You can enroll in or discontinue Elevate Courtesy Pay any time by contacting us.
