Anderson brings 13 years of commercial lending experience to SELCO
(PORTLAND, Ore.) — SELCO Community Credit Union recently hired Derek Anderson as vice president, commercial loan officer for its Commercial & Business Banking division. Operating out of the Forest Park branch, Anderson will source and originate new commercial loans as well as serve as a primary liaison for new and existing SELCO members in the Portland area for their commercial lending needs.
Anderson has 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, all centered on commercial lending in the credit union space. Most recently, he was a senior relationship manager and commercial loan originator at First Tech Federal Credit Union in Portland for seven years.

He brings with him extensive knowledge and experience and will be a great addition to our Portland and Southwest Washington commercial and business lending team.”
Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Portland State University. In addition to his duties at SELCO, he regularly volunteers with the AKA Science Program in East Portland, sponsored by Youth & Family Services of Impact NW. In his spare time, Anderson enjoys fishing, hiking, golfing, and a good craft beer. He also attends as many Portland Trail Blazers games as he can fit into his schedule.
